Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 10 am–10 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Since I’m a huge fan of the cake bar, I knew I would love the tea house, And they definitely did not disappoint! I have been here about 5 or 6 times since they opened And it has been a positive experience each time! Their Ube Matcha is delicious, And I love their homemade scone- It is served warm with a side of butter and jam, and it is to die for! It is such a cute and cozy little space. I love to come here with friends to catch up and have a fun drink. I’m so glad that Syracuse has a cute little teahouse like this now!

The atmosphere was so cozy and unique!! We wanted to do high tea but were full from an earlier meal so we just got drinks but definitely plan to go back for high tea. Staff was so polite and interactive, they pour your hot tea fresh from a tea set. So cute and highly recommend πŸ‘Œ

Really good! I am glad they understand Gen Z and what young people want. We want aesthetic beautiful cafes with decent pricing. I had the ube tiramisu it was so good! I had tea as well. Don’t remember what it was called. I think my total was below 20 which idk if that is expensive or not because a meal would be below 20. But deserts? Um I think it’s fine because it looks good! As long as the price doesn’t increase. I do think the tea is more expensive than what it should be! The cake was good price!

Tea House by Cake Bar is a very cute and relaxing addition to downtown Syracuse. I loved the cozy atmosphere and the extensive tea selection, which even includes details on tea regions. I ordered the House Scone, which was delicious with the jam and butter, and my Jasmine tea was excellent. Yelp Yelp +1 The only downside was the service speed; there was only one hostess/waitress for a very busy room, making it hard for her to keep up with everyone. I also wish they would offer more hot water refills for the teapots without having to flag someone down. Overall, a great spot for treats and tea, but could use more staff during peak hours!

Went with my sibling and we had a great time. I wouldn’t recommend coming with a large party of people as a lot of the tables are smaller. The regular onigiri was well-seasoned. The scone was delicious, not dry at all and the cream was fantastic. The strawberry parfait was quite large and very sweet. The service was good as well. The guy did a few rounds to see if the tables wanted more hot water for tea pots. Sweetener for the tea was provided upon request. The total cost was about $50 before tip for the 2 of us.
